Joining the ONLY ONE social team is the perfect opportunity for a data-driven person looking to be on the cutting edge of social media, conservation, and audience development for a movement supporting the future of a healthy ocean. The core of this role is deriving actionable insights for an organization at the crossroads of online advocacy, in-person activations, and digital media, supporting the digital teams development of a community that leads a movement in support of the health of the ocean through storytelling, direct advocacy, and pop culture impact campaigns. As a key member of the Digital team, your work will support the teams responsibilities of audience development, social discovery, brand marketing and insights and analytics.

Critically, this role supports company growth by taking ownership of the data collection and tag management tools that facilitate insights representing advocate activity across all channels and products. Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Lead, the Digital Marketing Analyst will also work closely with the creative and product teams, finding solutions to scale marketing while establishing a baseline for customer acquisition costs.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on campaign and organization-wide KPIs as delivered by the Digital Marketing Team through both weekly and monthly reports to support the analytical articulation of goals.
  • Quickly provide on-the-fly traffic and engagement updates.
  • Independently drive the development of a new full cycle of analytics workflow - from data collection to internal and external reporting - manage its implementation.
  • Design methodologies for tag documentation, data collection, standardization, and testing protocols to ensure consistency and retention.
  • Support Product and Marketing teams to identify impactful project measurement goals and opportunities for enhancement/optimization.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to translate business KPIs into insightful reports.
  • Identify and analyze trends and shifts in customer behaviour, both independently and in collaboration with the Product team.
  • Provide training to internal stakeholders, facilitating the effective use of data.
  • Support the creation of reporting materials for the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
  • Author a quarterly analytics report for on organization-wide goals.
  • Recommendation of appropriate campaign optimizations, when applicable.
Qualifications
  • Expertise in the full funnel of user acquisition.
  • Fluent in Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency in ad pixel implementation.
  • Proficiency in A/B Testing analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook advertising, Adwords, and others.
  • Excel and data manipulation and presentation.
  • Experience architecting data collection solutions.
  • Comfortable drawing insights from analysis and building support for your perspective, ability to simplify complex, large data sets into easily digestible visualizations.
  • A highly analytical mind with a demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses.

Requirements



Education and Work Experience

This position requires an undergraduate degree or the equivalent in work experience. It is preferred that the candidates total relevant work experience is equal to three years or more and that they have significant experience working in a high paced environment.

Required Work Samples

Physical and Other Requirements
  • Office Environment: Constant computer work requiring repetitive motion, prolonged sitting and sustained visual/mental demands. Occasional lifting, bending, pulling, collating, and filing, some of which may be heavy (>15 lbs.) and require use of carts.
  • Travel Environment: Occasional short, medium, and/or long-distance travel (up to 25% of time) which may require walking distances, lifting and carrying luggage and boxes (>25 lbs.) or prolonged periods of sitting in tight quarters.
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours and on weekends, and operate an automobile.
