Your Opportunity as a Senior Software Engineering ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with strong leadership and technical skills who is excited about the challenges that come with rapid growth, and passionate for mentoring and developing talented engineers to create best-in-class products that delight our customers. What You'll Do
- Lead, support and grow a team of passionate software engineers that prides itself on ownership and impact.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to shape the roadmap and set the priorities.
- Set audacious targets and bring them to life. Collaborate with the leadership to define ambitious objectives for our most challenging technical issues, then guide the team towards success by serving as a strategic ally, removing obstacles, and adjusting priorities as necessary.
- Define efficient, scalable processes and procedures that empower engineers to move quickly and ensure your team ships products constantly at a high quality.
- Grow engineers’ skills, experience and confidence through regular 1:1s, coaching, actionable feedback, work and peer alignment, and career advocacy.
- Actively participate in designing the system's architecture and conducting code reviews, ensuring everything is scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in software engineering and at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in leading the development of mission-critical product features, maintaining a high standard of technical and design quality.
- A solid technical background in building full-stack web applications.
- Proficiency in cloud computing systems (e.g., GCP, AWS) and SAAS concepts.
- A passion for recruiting and nurturing distributed engineering teams.
- A penchant for working in a product-centric environment where customer impact is a top priority.
- A commitment to building scalable teams and products and fostering a healthy, distributed, and collaborative work environment.
