Sr. Partnership Specialist
Hi there!
We are seeking a highly motivated and product-obsessed Partner Manager to take the lead in building and maintaining relationships with some of our largest, most strategic partners. We’re in the midst of hyper-growth and already serving the automation needs of a global community of 6.5 million professionals, but we’ve only scratched the surface of our nascent product category.
Strategic Partnerships can mean so many different things at different companies, so before you apply let us explain what it means at Zapier. The Partnerships team generates outsized impact with our biggest partners. With 5,000+ partners in our ecosystem (and growing), this team focuses on developing meaningful partnerships with market leaders in SaaS/Technology that can significantly impact our growth by getting our product promoted directly to their customers at scale. We create first-of-their-kind product experiences with partners that will be seen by millions of users, ensure our most popular integrations are continuously improved, and develop custom joint marketing campaigns to drive increased awareness and activation.
As a Partner Manager you will be responsible for a focused portfolio of new and existing strategic partners. You’ll educate, motivate, and secure commitments from these partners resulting in compelling product experiences that bring new users to Zapier. By encouraging partners to make Zapier readily available where their users expect to find workflow automation solutions, this helps partners reduce churn, close more sales, and be more well connected to 3rd party apps. This is the ideal position for entrepreneurial individuals who excel at understanding the needs of technology partners, are intrigued by innovative products and technologies, and can architect mutually beneficial co-marketing strategies. Your ability to build relationships, both internally and externally, will be critical, as will be your resourcefulness, analytical skills, and grit.
Zapier is on a mission to make automation work for everyone—and our global, all-remote team is what makes this work possible. If you’re interested in advancing your career at a fast-growing, profitable, impact-driven company, then read on…

About You
- You’ve done this before. You have 5+ years of experience developing partnerships or alliances, particularly with larger, more complex technology partners.
- You’re a relationship builder. You easily connect with individuals and identify areas of collaboration. You have the ability to navigate large organizations and find/influence the key decision makers.
- You know SaaS. You have a deep understanding of SaaS partner ecosystems and experience in developing and creating mutually beneficial outcomes.
- You have product and marketing savvy. You have an intuition for a partner's product and can quickly assess their marketing assets/channels. You equally enjoy mocking up a new user experience as you do outlining a set of potential go-to-market activities. You know that the best way to have success marketing a joint solution is to have first built something users want and need.
- You’re technical-ish. You’re able to quickly dissect new APIs, provide guidance to developers, and share best practices with product teams building to Zapier. Your primary stakeholders will be Product Managers, both internal and external, who you’ll need to be able to communicate with effectively.
- You’re persistent (and friendly). You create well constructed asks with the ability to continue with an idea until a partner sees it through. You’re a closer that isn’t afraid to make outsized requests and secure wins. Sales experience is a plus here.
- You’re a cross-functional team player. You have strong organizational skills with a team-centric mindset and the ability to execute. You’re able to quickly and effectively collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams.
- You’re data driven. You use data to develop strategy. You measure your work and outcomes with our strategic partners to ensure continued performance. Experience self-serving data & insights from platforms like Looker is a plus here.
- You have a growth mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced environment. The idea of expanding existing relationships or building new partnerships from the ground up excites and motivates you.
- You’re an excellent communicator. You understand the value we provide to partners and can transparently articulate it to partners in both verbal and written formats. We are, and always have been, a 100% remote team, and writing is our primary means of communication at Zapier.
- You get Zapier. You’re already familiar with the workflow automation space. Deep understanding of Zapier and our ecosystem is a strong requirement for this role.
Things You’ll Do
- Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem partners and identify opportunities within those ecosystems to generate new users for Zapier
- Find creative ways to surface Zapier inside our partner’s products where customers would be looking for integration/automation (checkout https://zapier.com/l/partner/solutions [6] for examples)
- Inject yourself into partner’s upcoming roadmaps, persuade them to build integrations with and/or embed Zapier, and execute product launches with PMM that highlight our solution
- Craft pitches and business plans that resonate with a partner's customer base and work with internal and partner teams to execute and promote
- Encourage partners to continuously improve their integration, engaging with feature requests and bug fixes
- Motivate partners to participate in Zapier marketing opportunities (e.g. new feature releases, blog posts, enablement, etc.)
- Challenge the status quo and effect positive organizational change outside of mandated work
- Share the right amount of information with the right people, at the right time, and listen effectively
- Provide support to other Zapiens, spread knowledge, and develop/mentor teammates outside formal reporting structures
- Support the emotional well-being of team members in difficult times, and celebrate their successes
- Invest in tools and processes that lead to outsized impact so Zapier can be more productive than a similar sized company
Zapier Compensation Guiding Principles
We believe all Zapiens should be rewarded competitively and equitably, using practices that are simple and transparent. This philosophy ensures we’re able to find, grow, and retain exceptional people from a broad range of backgrounds. Here’s how we define our compensation principles:
- Competitive: Zapier pays well among the technology sector.
- Equitable: Consistent pay practices; competency-based pay.
- Simple: Pay is well understood, and pay practices are built for scale.
- Transparent: Zapiens know how pay works, including how their pay is determined.
The pay ranges for this role are:
United States: 114,300/142,900/171,500 USD
Canada: 114,300/142,900/171,500 CAD
A Candidate's compensation package is finalized once the interview process is concluded and accounts for experience, competencies (job knowledge, skills and abilities) and internal equity. We use a competency-based approach to base pay, which means we set pay for all Zapier employees based on their competency and skills demonstrated in their role. In alignment with that philosophy, the upper half of a pay range is typically reserved for individuals who have consistently demonstrated a high level of job knowledge and skills for their current role and level while at Zapier.

How to Apply
At Zapier, we believe that diverse perspectives and experiences make us better, which is why we have a non-standard application process designed to promote inclusion and equity. We're looking for the best fit for each of our roles, regardless of the type of education or companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don’t exactly match the job description. All we ask is that you answer a few in-depth questions in our application that would typically be asked at the start of an interview process. This helps speed things up by letting us get to know you and your skillset a bit better right out of the gate. Please be sure to answer each question; the resume and CV fields are optional.
After you apply, you are going to hear back from us—even if we don’t see an immediate fit with our team. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to never go more than seven days without letting you know the status of your application. We know we’ll make mistakes from time to time, so if you ever have questions about where you stand or about the process, just ask your recruiter!
Zapier is an equal-opportunity employer and we're excited to work with talented and empathetic people of all identities. Zapier does not discriminate based on someone's identity in any aspect of hiring or employment as required by law and in line with our commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Equity. Our code of conduct [8] provides a beacon for the kind of company we strive to be, and we celebrate our differences because those differences are what allow us to make a product that serves a global user base. Zapier will consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, consistent with applicable laws.
Zapier is committed to inclusion. As part of this commitment, Zapier welcomes applications from individuals with disabilities and will work to provide reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodations are needed to participate in the job application or interview process, please contact jobs@zapier.com.
Even though we’re an all-remote company, we still need to be thoughtful about where we have Zapiens working. Check out this resource [9] for a list of countries where we currently cannot have Zapiens permanently working.
