A day in the life:
This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that the overall Security of PEXA UK Services adhere to strong Security Practices. The role will take accountability for documenting, maintaining, enhancing, and ensuring adherence to agreed patterns and security standards across all of PEXA Group’s UK businesses.
This will require engagement across multiple business units and geographies both technical and non-technical and involvement in all stages of development processes.
The role will not have a specific team but will provide guidance and leadership to other Security Operations staff located in the UK.
What you'll be doing day to day:
End to end management of the security services across PEXA UK and Optima Legal
Ensuring costs are adhered to within budgets
Management of monthly and weekly Key Threat Indicators and other Threat Intelligence metrics as part of overall Cyber Governance
Support front line defense of the security environment, protecting information from unauthorized access and violations
Support Cyber Security compliance and best practice alignment for UK businesses
Manage team to perform assessments of cloud, networks (wired and wireless), applications, account privileges and enhance automation of the solutions
Coordinate with group Security Team to ensure Cloud based security, Corporate Identity and AWS security strengthening (DDOS, Firewalls, etc.)
Oversees project delivery and provides thought leadership to the organisation
Work directly with Project Managers to ensure the success of security project deliverables
On day one, we'd love you to have:
This role needs to have a proven background in delivering Enterprise level services and support of existing platforms. This includes having completed conceptual and technical architecture designs and seen these through to build, test and deploy. You will have hands on experience in the following:
5 years of relevant cyber security experience in managing an IT Security team
Working knowledge of technology and security topics including network security, wireless security, application security, infrastructure hardening and security baselines, web server and database security
Ability to clearly communicate verbally and written
Qualification in CISM or CISSP preferred
Key attributes important to the role:
Ability to manage stakeholders and motivate teams
Experience working in fast paced environments, and ability manage workload even during times of stress or escalated activity
Experienced in leading a team across a broad set of skills
Strong time management and multitasking skills as well as attention to detail
Strong collaborative skills and proven ability to work in a diverse team of security professionals
Willing to perform hands-on work with the team
Comfortable with impromptu tasking
Excellent oral and written communications skills
