Direct Sales Representative- Patient Care/Patient Handling Company

Industry-leading Patient Care/Patient Handling Company seeking direct sales representative for Michigan, UP of MI, and Northern Indiana territory. Responsibilities will include Patient Handling/Patient Care equipment sales into Post-Acute and Primary-Care facilities and responsibilities for Veteran Homes and VMAC Hospitals. Additional responsibilities include DME/HME providers. We manufacture and sell LTC/Rehab Beds, Preventative and Specialty Support Surfaces, Overhead Lifting equipment, Floor Lifts, Bathing & Showering equipment, patient transfer equipment, and related accessories. Our primary goal is to allow choices that enable people to age in place with access to proper equipment options. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, maintain, and expand the customer base, follow up on leads, and maintain key customer relationships
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives to achieve the established sales plan
  • Provide in-service education and training to customers
  • Assist the marketing department by providing data with regard to new products, trends, pricing, competitive information, and new market opportunities
  • Participate in clinical programs and workshops within the territory as assigned
  • Attend assigned trade and product shows
  • Work with end-user, distributor, and dealer representatives to develop opportunities.

Requires a minimum of two years ' proven medical equipment sales experience and a college degree.

Successful experience with sales of safe patient handling equipment to Acute and/or Post-Acute customers is strongly preferred, along with an understanding of the capital sales process through distribution. An understanding of SFDC is also helpful.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

General physical demands described here are representative of those that may be required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Individuals may sit or stand as needed. Position may require walking and/or climbing stairs periodically throughout the day, reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. This may include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, boxes, etc., occasionally. You'll need to use proper lifting techniques.

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and fully enclosed shoes (no open toe or heel) are required

Position may require the ability to organize and facilitate the moving and set up of hospital bed frames and surfaces. This includes lifting up to 50 pounds, rolling, taking beds on and off the dollies, and loading and unloading from transport vehicle.
