Peraton has an immediate need for a Junior Software Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This role will be in support of several large DoD programs and the position is a remote opportunity.

Peraton has an immediate need for a Junior Software Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This role will be in support of several large DoD programs and the position is a remote opportunity.
- You will be required to provide software configuration across various technical areas, analyze business requirements and develop technical requirements, develop and design application modules, workflows and catalog requests, develop and deliver ServiceNow-based solutions for clients,
- Support the development and sustainment of a software development environment that covers the entire Software Development Lifecycle using current methodologies to include Continuous Deployment, Agile, and Development Operations (DevOps).
- In addition, you will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software, conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and development teams in the planning.
- Design, development, and utilization of Cloud-based capabilities for the development, modification, and deployment of software, analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Confer with systems analysts, engineers, and cross-functional teams to design software and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- This position will support the Chief Enterprise Architect, Release Train Engineer, Senior Leadership and the client with regards to software development best practices, as well as, support Quality Assurance and Quality Control verification within all applicable phases of software development to assure all actions are completed in accordance with appropriate policy, standards and procedures.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and compliance with all government and corporate policies.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years with a Bachelor's degree or 4 addtional years in lieu of the degree. 2 years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting applications
- Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience with successfully delivering customer implementations of ServiceNow based applications
- Ability to guide customers through understanding technical solutions to their business requirements
- Proficiency in scripting, Java, Javascript, ITIL, and ServiceNow
- Experience with modern JavaScript Libraries (Angular, Backbone, Marionette, Require, jQuery)
- Expert level HTML/CSS
- Experience in implementing scripted Web services in ServiceNow, SOAP, REST, and integrations with external system
- Requires US Citizenship and eligible to hold DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of one of the cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Advanced working knowledge of ITIL and Configuration Management Best Practices.
- Advanced understanding of the infrastructure tools, servers, databases.
- Working knowledge of Networking, and Storage Technologies
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ Certifications
