About the Role

Watermark is seeking a well-rounded Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing with strong SEO, SEM, website, advertising, social media, and marketing operations (preference for Marketo) experience who is both a leader and a doer. This role will be the most senior digital marketing professional on our team and will be expected to mentor other team members, manage multiple digital marketing agencies and/or contractors, and work with the greater marketing team on a range of technical work including SEO and SEM campaigns, website management, and other tech stack needs. This role will be responsible for leading partners to plan and execute tactics that build sales pipeline and revenue, engage prospect and client accounts, and expand our market share. The ideal candidate is analytical and hands-on, has good project and people management skills, and has proven experience and results with the activities mentioned above.
This role collaborates with the entire marketing team and uses tools like Wordpress, Uberflip, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Unbounce, Qualified, Marketo, Salesforce, and Sprout Social to plan, execute, and report on marketing programs, with a focus on demand generation metrics (MQLs, SQLs, CVR, pipeline, revenue generation). The position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, proven experience and results with digital tech stacks and tools, curiosity, and an ability to run multiple projects simultaneously. You must be comfortable with technical problems and have the knowledge to solve them or the drive to learn how.

  • Work with Sales and Marketing Operations to effectively measure and report on all inbound traffic, using HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Bizible. Provide insights on performance and identify areas for improvement to the broader marketing team.
  • Continuously stay up to date on industry trends and innovations to maintain detailed knowledge of digital marketing best practices.
Skills and Experience:
  • 6+ years marketing experience, preferably with technical or software/SaaS products and services; working with higher education institutions a plus.
  • Proven experience with a variety of digital marketing channels that track to business goals (great if you’re stronger in some areas of digital, but need to work in all above).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting.
  • Ability to operate independently and solve problems quickly.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools; Marketo strongly preferred. If you do not have this experience, you will be provided training and will be expected to ramp quickly. Experience with SFDC is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high growth environments, comfortable with ambiguity.
