As a core part of the Communications and Marketing teams, the Manager of Social Media and Multimedia Content is responsible for the daily management of clients social media accounts and multimedia content.
Assists in communications coordination with internal programs and key external partners.
Assists Sr. Director in working with volunteers, stakeholders, and staff to develop and execute innovative communications resources and materials.
Coordinates with Marketing and Membership departments to develop/repurpose content for use in campaigns and to amplify companys value propositions and key messaging in appropriate communications materials.
Assists in identifying opportunities and developing plans to expand audiences, engagement with, and influence of communications, prioritizing user experience.
Experience working collaboratively on a communications staff.
Experience using digital, multimedia, and social media tools for communications activities.

HireTalent, LLC is hiring for one our prestigious clients; a not-for-profit technical and educational organization of 30,000 individual members and 75 affiliated Member Associations.

As a core part of the Communications and Marketing teams, the Manager of Social Media and Multimedia Content is responsible for the daily management of client's social media accounts and multimedia content. The individual will contribute to and lead implementation of social media strategy for both organic and paid content. The individual will also create content for social media platforms and manage our multimedia content such as videos, photos, and graphics.

NOTE: This position is currently 80% remote work, 20% work in office as of April 2022. The level of remote work is subject to change.

Principal Functions:

  • Contributes to strategic communications planning.
  • Assists in communications coordination with internal programs and key external partners.
  • Assists Sr. Director in working with volunteers, stakeholders, and staff to develop and execute innovative communications resources and materials.
  • Coordinates with Marketing and Membership departments to develop/repurpose content for use in campaigns and to amplify company's value propositions and key messaging in appropriate communications materials.
  • Assists in identifying opportunities and developing plans to expand audiences, engagement with, and influence of communications, prioritizing user experience.
  • Writes and issues press releases and assists in media relations.
  • Writes speeches, blogs, columns, and other documents used in external communications.
  • Prepares presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Assists in writing social media content as needed.
  • Attends DC-Metro-area and other water sector events to gather and produce content for use in company's communications.
  • Assists with Specialty Conference support as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding ability as a writer.
  • Experience working collaboratively on a communications staff.
  • Experience using digital (including video), multimedia, and social media tools for communications activities.
  • Familiarity with using and interpreting communications Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), digital analytics, and benchmarking.
  • Experience generating materials for the press.
  • Background in public health and environmental issues preferred.
