Role Description

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Social Media Editor to create social content across Givebutter’s social handles. This person will be Givebutter across all social channels. They will set the tone of who we are and how we act and talk to people online.

The Social Media Editor will be an integral part of the Marketing Team and will collaborate with the team on our overall marketing content strategy. This position will report directly to our Vice President of Community.

  • Track and present social analytics that showcase growth
  • Experience owning the full cycle of social media content creation from ideation to implementation
  • Proven track record of creating the voice/social copywriting for brands, with a particular emphasis on Twitter and Instagram
  • A polished portfolio that includes previous tweets and other social media posts (i.e. tweets/posts) are a must
  • Expertise in crafting creative, inspiring stories that communicate complex concepts simply
  • Proven ability to manage and grow an online community through various social channels
  • Keep a pulse on the latest trends in our industry, the nonprofit/fundraising world
  • Social media fluency and an understanding of marketing trends for each social channel
  • Experience creating digital media is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing social media advertising is a plus
  • Experience working with or volunteering for nonprofits is beneficial
