Sioux Falls Store Manager
Sharing the Dream in Guatemala works to reduce poverty in Guatemala through collaborative partnerships. As a fair trade organization, Sharing the Dream partners with artisans in Guatemala to create unique products, which are sold in our US stores. The sales of these products provides a fair wage for the artisans and allows them to support their families. The Sioux Falls Stores Manager helps to advance Sharing the Dream's mission by creating opportunities to sell the artisans' products in our Sioux Falls store.
As a volunteer-based organization, Sharing the Dream depends on volunteers to operate our stores. The Sioux Falls store manager leads the team of volunteers and keeps them updated and involved with Sharing the Dream's work. The store manager also recruits new volunteers, schedules and trains current volunteers, and provides coverage at the store when volunteers are unavailable.
This position provides an opportunity to use your creativity to tell the story of Sharing the Dream and our partner artisans through creating social media content, merchandise displays, signage, and promotional materials.
- Create and execute sales and promotional strategy to increase sales and provide more work for artisans.
- Plan and host events to promote the store.
- Participate in local meetings, events, and forums to promote the store.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-starter with experience in sales and marketing. Being a people person is a must. Previous knowledge of or involvement with Sharing the Dream and fair trade is preferred.
