Copywriter



We're looking for an experienced copywriter to join our growing marketing team. This role will hone Alma's brand voice & tone and execute copy across the organization with a focus on marketing and product. As the first in-house copywriter, you'll partner with the marketing team to create guides and processes to ensure that messaging is on-brand and impactful for each of our audiences (mental health care providers, clients, payers, and businesses) and to evolve copy as the brand grows. The ideal candidate is happy to oscillate between strategy and execution, has a strong bias for action, and is passionate about the future of mental health care.

What you'll do:

  • Create, write, and edit engaging copy in the Alma brand voice and tone
  • Conceptualize and develop copy across channels and audience touch-points
  • Work directly with cross-functional partners and internal leaders to understand their messaging needs and easily incorporate those needs into projects
  • Collaborate closely with brand design to create and refine assets in an iterative and flexible process
  • Work with the product team to unify brand voice across all platforms and write product copy as needed
  • Clarify complex topics into easy-to-understand copy for internal and external audiences
  • Lead in the growth and evolution of the brand voice
  • Support in defining processes to deliver a high-quality and consistent brand experience

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in copywriting and creative strategy
  • You have a depth of experience in creating multi-channel marketing and product campaigns
  • You've got the ability to write articulate, creative, and grammatically correct copy
  • You make hard things feel easy with excellent copywriting
  • You can hone an existing brand voice and adapt it to different mediums, audiences, and project goals
  • You have the ability to manage competing opinions and deliver quality, on-brand copy
  • You are passionate, detail oriented, and focused on creating best-in-class experiences
  • You are an innovative thinker and problem solver that is comfortable working within a fast-paced startup environment
  • Nice to have: experience in healthcare and/or in B2B and B2C copywriting
