Reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy & Innovation, the Global Campaigns Associate Director is an integral part of Market Development (MD).

MD is a full service agency supporting all divisions across Novartis. We are a global business, with 100+ associates based in Ireland, US, India and Mexico. We support our clients from campaign strategy, messaging and innovative design solutions right through to deployment directly into channel. As an internal organization we aim to drive value for our customers, coordinating across the network, to support the Novartis mission to improve patients’ lives.

We are looking for a Global Campaigns Associate Director to join our team. You will have a strong background in global/local brand strategy, marketing and multichannel excellence. You are comfortable working within a matrix environment, able to collaborate closely with account management, design, copy and production teams, and senior level/c-suite pharma execs, to ensure that we deliver impactful strategies to meet the brands business needs.

Responsibilities include
  • Leading and facilitating Omni-channel / strategy / communication workshops with brand teams and business stakeholders.
  • Supporting the launch of multi-channel brand campaigns across single/multiple geographies for major Novartis brands (across all Novartis divisions)
  • Creation of insights-driven optimization strategies for in-market products, leveraging Multi/Onmichannel components driving increased brand performance across all channels
  • Customization/tactical planning for specific digital marketing needs
  • Develop brand / communication strategies and campaigns to address defined / support business problems / brand plans / communication programs.
  • Effective management of people and service delivery to ensure smooth execution with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to design and plan a campaign and effectively communicate the strategy and plan to the brand team / business customer.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Core Responsibilities
  • Have the ability and experience to analyze consumer / HCP behavior to help get to key consumer insights
  • Craft brand and communication strategies
  • Build multichannel/customer touchpoint/campaign journey’s
  • Advise on best channels to resonate with target market (e.g. Remote Detailing, Rep Triggered Email, Campaign mail, social media, web content, display advertising, NPP etc.)
  • Define how overarching messaging will adapt across channels and alternative approaches
  • Advise on the best channel mix for individual campaigns i.e. face to face, email, web, phone apps, social media etc.
  • For both brands and internal communications create guidelines that define the brand architecture including positioning, values and propositions.
  • Demonstrate your passion for the creative process, demonstrate how you can write creative briefs that inspire our creative teams
  • Work with creative and copy teams to define overall concept and messaging and/or adapt overarching brand messaging
  • Lead and strive for best in class communication plans and creative execution.
  • Have the ability to review consumer, market research to identify strengths weakness in campaign performance
  • Asses performance of communication campaigns (across all communication touch points including digital) and be able to make recommendations to optimize
  • Be comfortable in the digital strategy space and be able to take senior stakeholders on the digital journey
  • Be comfortable leading and facilitating workshops with multiple stakeholders across the vertical in Novartis
  • Build a partnership relationship with your customers; good rapport here is key to success of both the delivery process and customer relationship and account management, design, copy and production teams, and senior level/c-suite pharma execs to ensure that we deliver impactful strategies to meet the brands business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross functions in Novartis to support change management with communication planning

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
  • Recognized Marketing / Strategy qualification or similar
  • The successful candidate will have at least 8 years’ marketing / strategy experience within a leading creative / digital agency, Pharma or FMCG company.
  • At least 5 years of multichannel/digital/ campaign planning experience
  • Pharma industry experience in agency or client side is desirable but not essential.
  • Work experience as a Strategist, Planner or similar role in an agency environment or client side Brand Management / Strategy experience is desirable.
  • Portfolio of brand building / communication projects (that you’ve lead & delivered)
  • Excellent understand of the full marketing mix
  • Experience developing strategies based on market / audience segmentation
  • Comfortable with data driven conversations but not necessarily experienced in data analysis
  • Creatively driven
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with aptitude in fostering long-term relationships at a senior level
  • Excellent cross-functional skills. Ability to work and lead a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.
  • Strong presentation/storytelling ability
  • Fluency in English, excellent written composition skills
  • Multi-channel/Omni channel and content strategy design
  • Tactical design of Multi-channel campaigns with ability to guide execution

  • Experienced workshop facilitator in the digital marketing space
  • Deep experience in other industry trends and awareness of the enabling technology for Marketing Automation
  • Understanding of Multichannel KPIs and techniques to capture the data and reporting insights
