Product Marketing Manager Responsibilities
- Creator of an integrated growth plan that includes development of sales messaging/value proposition, sales assets, center of influence (COI) network, digital marketing strategies, thought leadership content, lead generation campaigns, outbound call campaigns, and events, as well as KPIs to measure success
- Student of the segment - expert on the trends, market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the segment
- Identifies and owns relationships with COIs that influence or can be referral sources
- Creator of relationships with trade associations that are critical to the promotion of the segment services
- Provides support on significant βbig fishβ new business opportunities - new business meeting preparation, presentation preparation and proposal assistance as needed
- Partners with segment leader to spearhead development of new services, solutions or offerings with industry team leader and other subject matter experts
- Analyzes and reports on sales pipeline, marketing analytics and other segment performance data
- Develops and oversees the implementation of segment-specific marketing and business development tactics, including:
- Digital marketing: PPC campaigns, web site content, social media and email marketing lead gen campaigns
- Events: webinars and in-person - planning, execution and follow-up
- Sales assets: collateral, presentations, videos, bios, core proposal assets (creation of and ensure currency)
- Thought leadership content: articles, blog posts, and videos
- Public relations: press releases, speaker placements, and pitching of articles to trade publications and national/regional media
- Outbound calling and meeting generation: target lists, call scripts, call campaign execution that result in new meetings for segment leadership
- Internal communications and training: client playbook & portal content, as well as coordinate internal training as needed with L&D
- Ensures all leads are properly coded to campaigns in CRM to effectively measure marketing ROI
- Participates with segment leader in assessing the marketing and sales performance of segment team members
- Collaborates with other market segment leaders to share best practices and elevate skill sets of segment leaders
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience

- Proficiency using a CRM software or marketing automation tool - ideally HubSpot but not a requirement
