Marketing Strategist 🔥


TEGNA is looking for a creative, driven and highly organized Marketing Strategist to join our client solutions and B2B marketing team. Our Marketing Strategist will provide sales marketing support for the company's sales organization, including our multi-market sales team and teams at each of our 63 media brands in 51 markets across the country. This role will be the ultimate marketing generalist, performing a wide variety of duties while interacting with various stakeholders and departments. A keen sense of creative marketing judgment and initiative is required.
  • Assist in proactive program ideation and development for client sponsorship campaigns, including generating creative ideas, developing PowerPoint presentations, copywriting/storytelling, coordinating tasks with multiple departments, working with our strategy and creative teams and account executives across TEGNA media propertie
  • Support client solutions strategists with market requests to develop client-specific solutions through ideation/brainstorming and consultation
  • Become an expert and key contributor in managing TEGNA's internal marketing library. Consult with markets on available opportunities and manage content on the library as needed
  • Serve as the main liaison for multi-market lifestyle show executions to coordinate with internal creative, account and production teams, as well as with clients

Sample Tasks

  • Our team is working on ensuring TEGNA sellers can easily navigate to and find any and all assets, programs and files they need to share proposals and solutions to clients. You may be called upon to help us complete inventory of assets we currently have, update those assets so they are more relevant and then ensure those assets are discoverable in our sales enablement system.
  • A client has been promised integration into various shows across TEGNA’s portfolio. You may be called upon to facilitate the implementation ensuring that all show producers understand what the integration is and have what they need to fulfill the integration as well as working directly with the account executive and client to answer questions during the process and to recap the experience.
  • An account executive from a specific market has an opportunity to secure significant revenue from an automotive dealer tied to the dealer’s corporate social responsibility efforts. You may be called upon to research the dealer, understand their goals and generate unique creative solutions (and accompany assets) the account executive can use to close a deal.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum two-years experience in marketing, preferably in media, entertainment, or agency environments
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to adapt to changes in schedules and business priorities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MST Office products – Word, Excel, Sharepoint, and Powerpoint, specifically building internal and client facing presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience utilizing project management software (i.e. teams, basecamp, etc.) a plus

Job is physically based and reporting into Dallas, TX. Job is remote and can be preformed anywhere.
