Communications & Development Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Communications & Development Assistant (CDA) will work directly with the General Manager to implement communications strategies, advance fundraising goals, and support general operations. This is a contract, remote position asking a commitment of approx. 10-15 hrs. per week.
POSITION TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communications:
- Assist with social media content.
- Update website content.
- Assist with the maintenance and implementation of communications and content calendars.
- Collaborate on promotional and marketing campaigns
Development
- Coordinate the delivery of donor benefits.
- Assist with planning and executing fundraisers and other special events.
- Support the General Manager in fundraising tracking and reporting.
- Provide data entry and CRM support.
Operations
- Assist in managing operations workflows such as coordinating staff and board meetings, project management, and processing patron requests.
- Assist General Manager and Artistic Director in managing project timelines and meeting deliverable deadlines
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE:
- Passion for arts and culture; familiarity with choral music helpful, but not required
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with social media management tools (i.e. HootSuite) and skill with social media platforms (particularly Facebook and Instagram)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and capable of managing time effectively.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position is offered to independent contractors only; taxes are the responsibility of the candidate.
- This is a contract, remote position asking a commitment of approx. 10-15 hrs. per week (December 14, 2020 - February 14, 2021) with the potential for renewal at end of contract.
- No office is provided for this job. Candidates should possess a home office or have daily access to the equivalent, which must be equipped with a computer and high-speed internet connection.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This is a contract position that is not benefits eligible (all CCC staff are contract workers). Compensation is monthly and commensurate with experience.
