Social Media Manager
Job Description:
A small but mighty marketing team, at a fast growing company, is looking for a talented Social Media Manager and Strategist to join their team. This person will partner with senior leadership including the CMO and Director of Digital Marketing, as well as a team of designers and content writers. This person’s main responsibility will be to develop and execute the brand’s entire social media strategy across all social channels. *** This is a 40 hour a week role, working remotely with a team of 15. They are willing to hire someone in a Contract-to-Hire or Permanent capacity.
MUST HAVE 5 years experience in social media heavy role creating and executing social media across mutliple channels.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage the social media strategy, execution, monitoring, and reporting for company
Research current strategy and consult the team on the new plan including overall strategy, channels to use, audience to target and ideal engagement
This person will act as a consultant to make suggestions/recommendations and lead the charge on all things social media
Create, manage and communicate social media calendar
Curate and create social media content and assist with content development across all other outlets (ie. Drupal experience a plus!)
Use various tools to define audiences and curate content based on targets
Work with the internal designers to produce top-quality visuals
Opportunity to manage agencies and any other third-party vendors
Assist with managing the corporate website content to align with social media
Coach and train internal stakeholders, office managers and affiliates on how to effectively use social media
Use performance metrics to measure success and report results
Qualifications:
5+ years of social media experience across all channels (ie. LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
Experience creating & executing a social media strategy, curating content and managing social media calendar using tools like Hootesuite
Show commitment to understanding social media trends
Basic knowledge of paid social media campaigns and influencer marketing
Overall understanding of integrated communication strategies
Ability to work independently, multi-task in a fast-paced environment and pivot with little supervision
Proficient in all prominent social media channels, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
Experience using Google Analytics or a similar tool
Ability to build reports and use data to pivot strategy
Solid understanding of omnichannel digital marketing concepts and platform-specific best practices
