Position Summary

The Digital Shelf Strategist (DSS) manages content on e-commerce websites – including amazon.com, walmart.com, homedepot.com and more – and help guide our clients to represent their products in the best way possible.

The Digital Shelf Strategist manages and writes content for clients in many industries and work on large-scale e-commerce projects. They can work under minimal supervision and manage several ongoing projects at once. They are directly responsible for all assigned clients’ digital content, and are expected to work closely with clients, account executives, and other members from the Digital Shelf Strategist and Digital Artist teams.

To be successful, the DSS will need to learn quickly, stay on top of new e-commerce trends, and be a motivated independent worker. Attention to detail, the ability to shift focus to different types of projects, and ability to write and work efficiently in Excel are a must.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Describe the major duties of the job. List the Essential Duties and Responsibilities in order of most time spent to least. To the right under the % column, include the % for each item or group of items that are to total 100%)

Job Duty

· Catalog Management and Copy Writing/Editing - 60%

o Perform content maintenance using online vendor portals

o Upload and manage copy & imagery in online retailer portals

o Use Excel daily to organize and edit product information

o Maintain product data on clients’ PIMs and DAMs

o Write and edit copy for e-commerce

· Enhanced Content Creation - 15%

o Collaborate with client and Sage Tree artists to create enhanced content

o Implement enhanced content on digital portals

o Update enhanced content when appropriate, or per request

· Onboarding New Products - 15%

o Submits new items to online portals

o Uploads images, PDFs, videos any additional materials for said products

o Continues ongoing maintenance of said products after onboarding

· Client and Project Management - 10%

o Effective and concise communication over email and phone

o Lead relationship with client as it pertains to their digital content

o Takes ownership of projects, provides reasonable timelines to stakeholders

o Ability to juggle competing priorities

o Follows up with stakeholders when necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports

- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

Indirect Reports

- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Travel is not an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is an essential duty or function of this job.

Minimum QualificationsThe following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent experience

(Preferred): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

1-3 years of experience in e-commerce, copywriting, project management or similar

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

· Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-started qualities

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results

· Proficiency with Excel and Word; PowerPoint (Adobe Acrobat Pro a plus)

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Preferred: GPA of 3.5 or above

· Preferred: Background in e-commerce, copywriting, or technical writing

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is mainly performed in an environment of the incumbent’s choosing, typically their home or a similar work-friendly location (e.g. coffee shop, library etc.). Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear and talk over the telephone, and the ability to enter data on a computer. Phone and internet access are essential for this position.
