Brand Marketing Writer Responsibilities
- Collaborating with writing, digital content, and creative teams to create content for both external and internal audiences
- Create website content, marketing communications, digital and print products which can include reports, infographics and overall storytelling pieces
- Taking content and understanding what visual assets go with it
- Utilize content marketing knowledge to craft stories in both print and digital communications
- Demonstrate the ability to interface with technical and non-technical audiences
- Serve as a change champion by removing barriers, creating cross-team vision, and driving measurable results for digital campaigns and branded content
- A college degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
- 7-10 years of professional experience within an advertising agency
- Experience with digital campaigns both paid and earned, including online advertising, trade shows, webinars, and other lead generation activities
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products; Adobe Creative Suite experience desired
- Understand the power of copy and its intersection with visual design and digital promotions
- Proficiency in writing compelling brand marketing content for a wide variety of media and content types including websites, social media, job sites such as Glassdoor, infographics, video, and newsletters
- A proven record of superb written communications, excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Creativity and a passion for writing engaging copy and developing corresponding visual elements for impactful storytelling
- Ability to translate technical jargon into copy that is interesting and accessible to all audiences
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, sometimes under pressure and often with tight deadlines
- Ability to think visually and articulate a creative brief for infographics, video, and other digital products
- Experience creating and managing an editorial calendar aligned to business priorities
- Use data-driven insights by analyzing metrics to suggest changes and write more effective digital assets
