Position Summary

The Executive Coordinator will be responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Great Plains Division Director. They work closely with the Division Director to develop and lead an extraordinary team of staff and trustees to advance The Nature Conservancy’s strategic conservation priorities regionally and globally within and from the Great Plains Division, which includes Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas. 

 The location of this position is set for Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Any office within the Great Plains Division States is preferred (Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas) but other U.S. locations can be considered.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated;
  • Ability to implement complex processes;
  • Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results;
  • Demonstrated experience using diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff;
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills;
  • Experience coordinating projects;
  • Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results;
  • Experience supervising staff, interns and/or volunteers;
  • Strong organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks; and/or
  • Successful experience implementing strategic program goals.
