Senior Product Manager, Content Monetization 🔥

Consumer product team’s charter is to create and improve products and services that help consumers achieve their career goals. The team is responsible for driving revenue growth for the Consumer business.

Coursera has formed partnerships with the world’s leading companies including Google, IBM, SAS etc. to bring Professional Certificates, and have experts who author Guided Projects, both of which provide learners with career-ready skills.

 

We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial minded leader to join an exciting and fast-paced team. This role is a good fit for someone who is adept at navigating ambiguity, can connect the dots between different opportunities and can roll up the sleeves to execute. In this role, you will focus on (1) Monetizing existing content by highlighting or creating new value propositions (2) Exploring new content types and validating them via user research and a/b tests, along with defining monetization strategy and (3) Managing the partner relationships and providing content insights to partners via dashboards.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong product management background, good product instincts, and an analytical mindset to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Set the vision and product strategy to increase revenue from existing content
  • Collaborate with Content & Credential team to explore and test new content types
  • Define yearly roadmap, establish quarterly OKRs and priorities while focusing on revenue growth
  • Develop a deep understanding of the learners through research, data analytics and experimentation
  • Rapidly iterate and evolve the product to meet the needs of a fast growing business, while creating extensible and scalable global solutions, and simultaneously looking for future user needs
  • Build a shared understanding of your vision and gain cross functional alignment to partner and execute on your ideas effectively
  • Define and analyze key success metrics for the business; Execute several A/B tests in close partnership with Data Science teams
  • Lead end to end product development for key initiatives on the roadmap

Basic qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product management experience
  • Experience with innovative consumer products that provide content and experiences in a high growth environment
  • Data driven and extensive experience with A/B testing and collaborating closely with data science partners
  • Ability to partner closely with UX Design and Research
  • Ability to drive a vision with customer-centric approach to problem solving with use of qual and quant methods for ideation
  • Have a strong sense of ownership, can roll up your sleeves and drive end to end product development for innovative customer experiences
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new ideas

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with content delivered to consumers
  • Ability to define vision and execute to drive the end to end product development
