Israeli Program Coordinator


Seeds of Peace seeks an Israeli Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team based in Israel. In this role you will support the engagement of Israeli participants in Seeds of Peace’s international and regional programs. This is a fixed-term position, with an initial 1-year contract that can potentially be extended upon mutual agreement.


Position Responsibilities:

· Support implementation and execution of programs and activities for Israeli Seeds – Juniors and Alumni (main focus – Junior Seeds)

· Assist with execution of Palestinian, Bi-national and Multinational programs and activities

· Foster strong communication with new Seeds and act as primary point of contact for them and their Parents, and encouraging participation in programs

· Support and coordinate communication of activities, including outreach to Seeds and participants

· Timely compliance with programmatic and administrative policies and procedures

· Support Israeli Program Director in all recruitment, selection and preparation processes for camp as needed, to potentially include:

· Outreach to schools and youth movements to recruit applicants

· Recruit Junior Seeds to assist in selection process

· Provide Junior Seeds with tools and provide guidance in outreach processes in their schools

· Assist in planning and executing meetings with parents

· Assist in planning and executing preparation seminars

· Assist Camp Coordinator in all administrative tasks including responding to applicants,

scheduling and facilitating interview processes, facilitating visa processes, collecting relevant

paperwork, creating a participant’s database and more


Essential skills and experience:

· 1-3 years’ relevant experience, i.e., working with youth; background in facilitation is a plus

· Must be familiar with Middle East Region

· Speaks fluent Hebrew and English. Knowledge of Arabic a plus

· Ability to work with and be empathetic to a culturally diverse staff and maintain environmental adaptability and flexibility

· Ability to maintain sensitivity, patience, and perspective in a high-stress political environment

· Strong organizational skills

· Basic computer skills required in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of other online organizational tools and software a plus

· Pays attention to details, works independently, and follows up on tasks

· Travel to countries where Seeds of Peace programs are planned, if required

· Willing to work on weekends and/or after hours, if necessary

· Works well as part of team

· Effective at relationship building

· Education or training in youth development or related field a plus
