We have a great new opportunity in our Elkridge, MD Office for a Business Development (Inside Sales Support) position. This position is the key contact point for customers & external sales.

Manages customer contacts & opportunities partnership with external sales using CRM & other systems to efficiently & accurately data entry details for analysis & reporting. The position is fast paced & works directly with customers to ensure a smooth experience throughout the entire relationship

P R I M A R Y R O L E S A N D R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S :
  • Identify, qualify & deliver new business
  • Develop positive relationships with new & existing customers by using marketing/sales expertise including phone calls, emails, scheduling appointments
  • Actively follow up on open quotes, orders, shipments, & non-conformances
  • Regularly liaise with delegated external sales personnel & other internal departments
  • Meet KPI requirements with setting appointments with new & existing customers
  • Collaborate on activities with external personnel highlighting key opportunities
  • Coordinate with the internal technical quotation & installation departments
  • Remain up to date & well versed with general product knowledge & company information
  • Support customer needs to ensure a smooth, high quality sales process
  • Keep abreast of & understand technical data for products.
  • Process incoming POs, send sales confirmations, & record keeping on order tracker; work with accounting to setup new customers; & process quotes
  • Work with sales team & management to ensure accuracy of appointments in Microsoft 365 CRM software/Oracle Net Suite & Outlook System to include all customer & calendar information.
  • Use skills to help close quotes with customers, deal with any barriers to sales, etc.
  • Participate in ongoing educational opportunities & advanced sales training
  • Provide administrative support to external sales representatives & management, as required, or requested
  • Perform online sales presentations & participate in exhibitions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
R E Q U I R E M E N T S :
  • 2 to 4 years experience in appointment scheduling with a track record of obtaining & exceeding goals
  • Experience in cold calling in safety, industrial, & distribution sales preferred
  • BA/BS with concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration is preferred but not required
  • Marketing & sales experience to develop leads; explain A-Safe products & benefits of our systems; address questions & concerns
  • Experience in sourcing sales leads through business directories, client referrals, on-line research, exhibitions, marketing campaigns, social media, out-bound calling, etc. to generate revenue
  • The successful candidate needs to be detail orientated & capable of retaining information
  • Prioritizing, time management, & organizational skills
  • Positive, motivated, proactive, self-starter with a strong work ethic & customer focus to meet/exceed sales KPIs
  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, prioritize, take direction from multiple sources, & manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail & ability to regularly communicate with new & existing customers
  • Proficient within MS Office Suite, Microsoft 365 CRM Software, & Oracle Net Suite
  • Needs to be able to rapidly learn, apply, & follow instructions.
