What does a Sr. Outreach Specialist/Healthcare Customer Service Representative do?

  • Provides outstanding and compassionate customer service to support Medicaid health plan patients in the process of applying for additional benefits
  • Interview patients/members via phone to gather personal/sensitive information in order to determine eligibility for various government programs
  • Makes outbound and receive inbound calls providing insight to Centauri’s services
  • Interprets and explains information such as eligibility requirements and application details
  • Uses probing questions to clarify eligibility with members
  • Compiles, records, and evaluates personal and financial data in order to determine eligibility
  • Manages the process for obtaining verifications, follow-ups, and communication with government agencies
  • Manages confidential health information and follows appropriate steps
  • Understands and agrees to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
  • Ensures safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies
  • Reads, understands and agrees to security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training
