Cognizant is expanding its Global Communications team to accelerate the company’s cadence of business and strategic communications for our North America Commercial organization as a key strategy in driving growth and innovation across our largest market, comprising about 75 percent of our annual revenue.



Job Description



Cognizant Global Communications is looking for a seasoned professional to lead North America Commercial communications. The successful candidate must have deep experience in designing and implementing multi-channel, strategic communications on a range of issues for diverse internal and external audiences. You will be experienced working with senior executives; understand how to convert communications strategies into measurable business results; able to accept, synthesize and implement constructive feedback from diverse sources; and be fiercely collaborative with colleagues across the globe. You will juggle multiple projects, work on tight deadlines and occasionally work flex hours. Excellent English-writing skills are required and travel may be up to 20 percent of the time.



This role will report into the head of Global Internal Communications and will partner closely with the North America Commercial leadership team, the heads of Global Marketing, Social Media, and External and Executive Communications.



Responsibilities

  • Develop short- and long-term messaging frameworks to drive key business goals and strategies across our North America business verticals comprised of Financial Services & Insurance; Healthcare; Communications, Media & Technology; and Products & Resources
  • Partner closely with our Social Media team on a North America social media strategy and implementation
  • Partner closely with our Global External Communications, Executive Communications and Marketing teams to drive thought leadership for our NA business president and his key leaders
  • Create and drive the North America employee communications strategy in partnership with and support from the Global Internal Communications and Global Sales Communications teams
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders
  • Create and implement comprehensive, engaging and effective communications campaigns and collateral
  • Write and edit a variety of messages including emails, intranet articles, blog posts, video scripts and marketing materials
  • Establish a system to measure communications effectiveness



Required



Skills & Experience
  • 15+ years’ experience in senior communication roles in a corporate, agency or media environment
  • Proven proficiency in writing English-language communications for senior executives and large, diverse audiences
  • Proven proficiency in creating multi-channel corporate communication campaigns
  • Experience creating communication strategies and implementing them through in-person, video and other digital channels
  • Experience in Organizational Change Management
  • Versed in new and emerging communications technologies and practices
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Passionate about driving business results through multi-channel communications
  • Sales and commercial communications experience preferred
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Marketing degree preferred)
  • Advanced degree in related specialization area preferred
