It Customer Support Technician 🔥
Responsibilities
- Performs a full range of servicing, repair service, and troubleshooting procedures including diagnostics, installation, removal and retrofits on assigned equipment.
- Perform in- house equipment setup and configuration of MFPs.
- Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignment.
- Physical Functions Required: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. May require bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50-100 pounds.
- Performs connected installations, sets up IP addresses, downloads printer drivers and provides customer training on printing standalone and network devices.
- Set up scanning, printing and other features.
- Install 3rd party applications and connectivity for the copier and server hardware.
- Provide day-to-day PC and server support.
- Maintain and troubleshoot customer network printers, network firewalls, and network servers.
- Upgrade and maintain computer anti-virus on the customer network to ensure data security and protection.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer computer and other IT equipment problems and malfunctions
- Maintain and troubleshoot customer LAN/WAN connectivity issues.
- Provide end user application training as needed.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to reduce downtime.
- Performs other office duties as necessary or assigned.
- Provide support and train customers in IT usage.
- Remote login to customer workstations for support.
- Provide IT support and service to end users.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Experience repairing networked office equipment a plus.
- Valid State driver’s license and good driving record.
- Candidate must be a motivated self-starter.
- The ability to work as an individual as well as on a team.
- 3-5 years experience in a mechanical or technical repair position.
- 5+ years industry experience
- PC repair experience
- We are seeking hard working, customer focused, self-motivated technicians with a technical degree, strong mechanical aptitude, strong computer proficiency and effective troubleshooting skills.
- Associate’s degree in CS, IT, or related field a plus
- CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ Certification a plus
- 2008-2016 MS Server experience (Server certification)
- Proficiency in Office applications
