Customer Support Engineer

Job Description:
As part of the team, you will:
- Deploy company software solutions at remote customer installations including travel to site as required
- Work closely with customers to prepare for software deployment including current system evaluation, new system configuration, and special circumstances
- Work closely with installation team and customers on control process network issues. This includes planning, testing and troubleshooting as network concerns are reported.
- Test and evaluate new system releases prior to site deployment
- Provide on-site training for various levels of software users
- Direct customer phone support to identify automation software issues and to provide end user training
- Provide after-hours support to customers on a rotating basis
- Troubleshoot, document and track software issues for immediate customer needs and for periodic review to determine design changes to provide highest quality product
- Manage multiple projects at a time
- An Associates or bachelor’s degree in Automation, Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field preferred. Will also consider relevant experience
- Experience in the petroleum industry, bulk terminal operations and operational applications oriented to transaction data management strongly preferred
- Prior experience in Oracle, TCP/IP Networking, and automation preferred
- Familiarity with PLC programming or similar machine language preferred
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience with real time systems a plus
- You are a self-confident and decisive with good listening skills
- Excellence in communications at all levels
