Dealer Sales Manager - Eastern Region


The Dealer Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies and activities, that deliver sustainable revenue growth within SAFCO’s dealer/rep channel. This individual must operate with an entrepreneur mindset while taking full ownership of the business potential within their assigned region. This position requires strong visionary leadership, combined with an ability to develop and manage complex relationships and market variables.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure annual rep business plans align with the strategic direction of SAFCO within the dealer channel.
  • Monitor, guide, and influence annual rep business plans on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure rep/dealer coverage within specific geographic areas, aligns with SAFCO’s strategic sales objectives.
  • Provide recommendations for rep coverage models based on geography, and market conditions (Direct vs. Independent/ Hybrid models where appropriate).
  • Guide strategic discounting discussions and recommendations in support of project sales.
  • In conjunction with marketing and SAFCO leadership, define the 3-to-5-year revenue vision for assigned geography (market potential, GTM strategy, vertical markets).
  • Serve as a knowledge resource to the SAFCO associates, reps, and dealer partners in support of new products, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities.
  • Provide weekly/monthly sales updates in support of key metrics.
  • Convey market feedback regarding economic conditions, buying behavior, trends, and competitive insights (High level of frequency).
  • Estimate and report annual, monthly, and or weekly sales forecasting based on market conditions and needs.
  • Participate in and influence the new product development process as a voice of the customer.
  • Attend key trade shows and customer visits throughout the year to continue to build and strengthen customer relationships and introduce and educate on market insights and product offerings to drive sales.
  • Develop deep understanding and knowledge of the competitive landscape of the channels and customers to ensure we can capitalize on the customer needs with our wide range of products and solutions to support how and where people work.
  • Define and develop major account strategies and opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of B2B sales and/or marketing experience
  • Proven history of success in maintaining and growing existing customer relationships
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing independent multi-line rep groups.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Commercial furniture experience.
