SALARIED, FULL TIME POSITION: $58,000 - $62,000 per year
LOCATION: Remote within the state of Illinois, with some statewide travel required
REPORTS TO/WORKS IN COLLABORATION WITH: Senior Director of Training and Community Partnerships
Illinois Partners for Human Service is seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Manager, who is inspired by the opportunity to train and support health and human service professionals across our state. The Training Manager will be a key member of Illinois Partners statewide training initiative for health and human service professionals focused on reframing conversations about aging and older adults. The Training Manager will be responsible for the development, delivery, and day-to-day management of the organization’s training program on Reframing Aging and co-creating future trainings for our coalition partners across the state.
ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
Illinois Partners for Human Service is a statewide coalition of more than 850 human service organizations. Our coalition partners come from every legislative district in the state, and represent a wide variety of human services, including child care, community mental health treatment, supportive housing, programs for persons with disabilities, immigration services, food security, care for older adults, and much more. We are leading efforts to fully fund human services in Illinois, to ensure that all Illinoisans reach their full potential and have access to a sector that is equitable, sustainable and speaks with a collective voice. We achieve this through:
- Educating and informing legislators and other policy stakeholders about human service issues;
- Facilitating collaboration between providers to foster an environment of learning and cooperation;
- Building capacity through engaging the community through our extensive information network, and ensuring they have the resources and knowledge to make informed decisions; and
- Ensuring coalition partners have a seat at the table when decisions are being made that affect their community’s well-being.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In Collaboration with Director of Training and Community Partnerships and members of the IL Partners team:
- Adapting a Reframing Aging training curriculum and technical support system for health and human service professionals in Illinois, applying an equity lens and incorporating input from health and human services professionals.
- Complete introductory training on Reframing Aging and Reframing Human Services
- Develop a pre and post surveys for training participants
- Coordinate and facilitate virtual and in-person workshops
- Respond to training inquiries and requests for assistance
- Participate in team meetings to inform, debrief and review training
- Attend additional webinars and training to maintain knowledge of reframing research, strategies and practices
- Conduct outreach to coalition partners, participate in local area council meetings
- Statewide travel for trainings across Illinois
- Contribute to newsletter, announcements about training, stories and best practices
- Develop and curate resources for a racial equity curriculum
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 – 3 years experience facilitating and/or coordinating trainings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with developing equity-focused curriculums in either a work or academic setting
- Experience facilitating trainings online and familiarity with Zoom
- Strong attention to detail and administrative tasks
- Work or life experience in health and human service sector
- Valid Driver’s license
- Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft, and Google Suite
- Experience working with Older Adults a plus
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus

This is a full-time position. This position can be remote, within Illinois, with some travel across the state required.
