At HMS Scientific Solutions, Inc., we're a dynamic woman-owned startup located in Northwest Pennsylvania. With a legacy of providing expert scientific and technical consulting services to companies across North America, we specialize in remediating and restoring sites impacted by heavy industries, such as mining and oil extraction, to their natural state.
When mining or industrial sites are closed or abandoned, our clients turn to HMS Technical Development to assess soil, surface, and groundwater for potential environmental hazards. Our work allows them to minimize their impact on the environment, restore natural habitats, and safeguard precious resources. Our services encompass technical consulting, product development, research, and specialized manufacturing.
Who We're Looking For
We're in search of a creative and entrepreneurial-minded intern who can breathe life into our company's brand, enhance our online presence, and contribute to our marketing strategy. You'll collaborate closely with the HMS President to understand our mission and values, ensuring they're integrated into our strategy and design.
Minimum Requirements
Creativity and self-motivation, as this is a fully remote position with weekly virtual meetings to review goals and track progress.
Proficiency in basic HTML, Search Engine Optimization, website analytics tools, and basic graphics/video creation.
Comfort with the technology and software required for online platform creation and maintenance.
Enrollment as a junior to senior level Bachelor's degree student pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field with an interest in Management and Entrepreneurship.
Strong social skills and expert knowledge of various social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Facebook.
Availability to work 10-15 hours per week, with a commitment to adhering to company policies, safety requirements, and industry standards if hired.
