Professional Grant Writer
Job Title: Professional Grant Writer (contract) Department: Development
Reports to: Chief Relationship Officer Effective Date: October 2023
Job Summary:
The Professional Grant Writer will research and identify grant funding opportunities. They will establish relationships with funders as appropriate. They will write, submit and manage grant proposals in collaboration with the Chief Relationship Officer.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- research grant opportunities for our organization
- identify appropriate grant prospects for our organization
- communicate with prospective funders as needed to begin the grant process
- write grant proposals
- submit and manage grant proposals in collaboration with the Development Team
- furnish prospective funders with supporting documentation
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet due dates.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with other staff members.
- Familiarity with grants local to the greater Philadelphia area
- Familiarity with grants connected to inclusion and the special needs community.
Salary: Contract Position, $75-125/hour depending on experience
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of grant identification, cultivation and writing experience
