Job Overview
Accelerated Cure Project (ACP) is a nonprofit organization with a mission of accelerating research for faster diagnosis, more effective treatments, and a cure for multiple sclerosis (MS). In collaboration with people affected by MS, researchers, healthcare providers, funders, and others, we develop centralized resources that can be accessed by researchers worldwide. Our resources include the ACP Repository, to enable basic science research on the causes and mechanisms of MS; iConquerMS, a virtual people-powered research network that enables research on topics that matter most to the MS community; and, the Minority Research Engagement Partnership Network, formed to understand and address the issue of underrepresentation in MS research.
We are looking for an experienced project manager to support a 4-year multi-site research project focused on an intervention for fatigue. The project manager will be at the heart of this clinical research project. The project manager will:
- Develop the project plan and maintain command of the project deliverables and schedule
- Organize and manage the Project Team, Steering Committee, and Data & Safety Monitoring Board meetings and follow-up actions
- Manage the project budget and payments to sub-awardees and to trial participants
- Interact with the ethical, regulatory, and funding bodies overseeing the project
- Report on project and trial progress, successes, and challenges to a variety of stakeholders, working closely with the leads for the IT System, Data Management, Communications and Engagement, and Study Site Leads and Site Coordinators
- Prepare periodic progress reports
- Provide support for other ACP projects as needed
Accelerated Cure Project is based in Waltham, Massachusetts, but ACP staff members work remotely from their homes. The project manager may work from anywhere in the United States.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of project management, clinical research management, or related experience
- Experience managing complex projects including internal and external project team members
- Understanding of general accounting principles and budget management
- Expert-level experience with Asana, Monday.com, or a similar project management tool
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficiency with Quickbooks or a similar accounting program
- Willingness to learn new tools and techniques
- Interest and experience in standardization, operational efficiency, and process development
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects according to scope, budget, and timeline
- Ability to work remotely including being comfortable with primarily virtual communications and interactions
