Marketing Director


DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing to join our food rescue non-profit organization. As the Director of Marketing, you will play a critical role in promoting our organization's mission, driving engagement from donors and rescuers, and supporting RLC’s fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and community outreach. You will develop and own the strategic marketing plans, communications, and brand positioning of RLC to reach our target audiences and stakeholders. This role reports directly to the CEO of RLC.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our mission, increase awareness, and drive engagement
  2. Lead all digital marketing, social media, email marketing, content creation, and public relations efforts
  3. Drive the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and visual representation across all marketing channels and materials
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to create targeted content that helps tell the story of RLC and its impact 
  5. Manage external communications with media organizations, strategic partners and the public
  6. Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, website analytics, and social media metrics to measure effectiveness 
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging marketing techniques, and best practices in the non-profit sector to ensure innovative and effective marketing strategies.
  8. Lead, mentor, and foster a collaborative culture

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the non-profit sector or social impact organizations.
  3. Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, with a track record of successful campaign planning and execution.
  4. Proficiency in digital marketing, social media platforms, content creation, and email marketing tools.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Analytical mindset with experience working with data to measure performance.
  7. Strong leadership and team management skills
  8. Passion for our organization's mission 

About RLC:

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is a non-profit 501(c)3 food rescue organization that is dedicated to eliminating food waste and hunger. We arrange pickups of leftover food from restaurants and other licensed food vendors, as well as from catered lunches and events, and deliver them to local homeless shelters and soup kitchens to feed the homeless and food insecure.
