Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Within Europe
Job Type: Part-time (50%)
Reporting to: WSCF General Secretary
Overview:
The World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) is a global organization that aims to empower and unite Christian students in pursuing social justice and peace. We seek an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and oversee our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
- Prepare and maintain budgets and financial forecasts
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with all tax regulations
- Work closely with program staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for grants and contracts
- Manage cash flow and oversee the organization's banking relationships
- Coordinate and oversee annual audits and tax filings
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with local laws and regulations
- Provide financial analysis and advice to the General Secretary and Executive Committee as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- (2+) years of experience in accounting or financial management on NGOs
- Experience in ecumenical organisations and or engaged in ecumenical relations and operations
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Experience managing budgets and financial forecasts
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English (other languages are a plus)
