Operations Coordinator 🔥


We are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team and support our work in logistics, event planning, and virtual office management. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and specific experience in large-scale events. The Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Director of People, Culture, and Operations to ensure smooth operations and support for a staff of 6-10 nationally.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and coordinate logistics for Rising Majority's Convenings, Conferences, Leadership and Staff Meetings
  • Project manage with the Director of People, Culture and Operations, all aspects of event planning including vendor coordination, budget management, and post-event evaluations
  • Assist in creating and managing virtual office systems and workflows
  • Organize and manage information, data, and records to ensure efficient operations
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure cross-functional communication and coordination
  • Support the Director of People, Culture, and Operations and Staff with administrative duties as needed

  • Demonstrated commitment to The Rising Majority’s values and mission
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, event planning, or related field
  • Experience in large-scale event planning is essential
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, work well under pressure and adhere to deadlines while balancing multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite technologies
  • Experience with virtual office management and technology such as zoom, asana etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication, verbal and written, communication skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under pressure
