Social Media Coordinator - Part-time and Remote

Do you have a deep interest in land conservation, climate change, biodiversity, forests, farmlands, and communities? If you’re looking for a part-time, work-from-home position that works with your schedule, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Wildlands, Woodlands, Farmlands & Communities is looking for a social media coordinator to support our social media and marketing efforts for 10-15 hours per week. The role will entail working closely with the organization’s leaders to develop posts and support engagement strategies for our new social media presence on LinkedIn and Twitter.

What we’re looking for:

● Demonstrated interest and knowledge of land conservation or related topics

● Strong writing skills

● Portfolio (or examples) of social media planning, writing, and posting

● Strong visual skills and ability to use Canva to implement social media templates

● Experience with building an engaged following on social media

● Experience with LinkedIn, Twitter, and Buffer (or other social media scheduling services)

● Reverence for the smallest details

WWF&C ^[1] is a regional initiative founded at the Harvard University’s Harvard Forest with publication of the Wildlands and Woodlands Vision for Massachusetts ^[2] in 2005 and expanded region-wide five years later through partnership with Highstead Foundation in the release of the W&W Vision for New England landscape ^[3]. Following the release of The New England Food Vision ^[4] (2014) in collaboration with FSNE, our initiative expanded to address integrated land and water conservation for the benefit of nature and society in Wildlands, Woodlands, Farmlands & Communities ^[5]. This vision, based on science, sound stewardship and collaboration with diverse partners seeks to protect the region’s lands and waters today, to ensure that everyone shares equitably in the countless benefits of nature tomorrow. Our work lays out measurable goals for New England and illuminates the pathways that are vital for their achievement.
