Programs & Community Manager 🔥

About us: The All We Can Save Project [1] is an emergent nonprofit whose mission is to nurture the leaderful climate community we need for a life-giving future. (We are an independent operating project of Multiplier [2], an umbrella 501(c)(3).) We use the tools of narrative change, community building, and deep learning, and throughout our work, we aim to tend the emotional-spiritual root from which climate engagement grows. For more about who we are and what we do, please see our website [3], newsletter archive [4], and Instagram [5].

Who we’re seeking: The AWCS Project is looking for an accomplished and energetic team member to serve as our Programs & Community Manager, reporting directly to the Deputy Director. This role will primarily support Climate Wayfinding [6], which is our flagship deep learning program, our community events and programming, and outreach via our digital channels.

As a startup, we’re looking for someone who can flow with the intentional yet emergent nature of our work, hold a variety of projects/tasks with joy and attention to detail, and collaborate effectively with team members and other partners. Climate knowledge and passion are vital for this role, and we’ll be looking for a minimum of 3 years of experience.

The All We Can Save Project is looking for someone thoughtful, collaborative, and experienced to join our team as Programs & Community Manager. Candidates who are women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrants, parents, or have other related lived experiences are warmly encouraged to apply.

We envision core responsibilities for the role will span the following areas:

Programs

  • Plan, design, and implement learning and community programs, including project management.
  • Manage production of online and in-person experiences/events; facilitate as needed.
  • Conduct research, synthesis, and reporting of information/insights.
  • Execute survey creation, data analysis, and program evaluation.
  • Collaborate on setting program goals and strategy to advance the Project’s mission.

Community

  • Collaborate with the Project’s creative agency to execute social media posts, make website updates, and send communications via MailChimp.
  • Manage incoming communication to the Project via the general inbox and social media; manage a library of FAQs/replies
  • Communicate with and support participants and partners across digital platforms and during live events; build a sense of rapport and community.

We believe the right fit will be someone who:

  • Lives into a steadfast commitment to a just and life-giving future; brings a depth and range of experiences relevant to the Project’s mission and programs.
  • Has experience managing complex projects and programs; thinks ahead and focuses on the details.
  • Communicates with effectiveness across mediums, melding clarity and emotional intelligence.
  • Enjoys writing and editing and does both with true excellence — from first draft to final polish.
  • Exudes zest, warmth, and wisdom; greets growth edges (their own, others’, and in the work itself) with curiosity and pluck; and embraces the inner and relational work of social change.
  • Is based in or near Atlanta or New York City, or might like to be (ideal but not a dealbreaker).
