Kernelcare Business Development Executive [remote] 🔥


The Business Development Executive (BDE) role reports to the President & CRO organization and engages defined partner targets for KernelCare. This critical function is responsible for prospecting and penetrating target companies for the purpose of developing partnerships for distribution of KernelCare primarily within embedded environments. Currently the main target areas are IoT and Patch/Vulnerability Remediation Management. It works with the rest of the KernelCare organization to define and plan for any modifications required in the product to pursue these partnerships.

What you’ll do:
  • Engage with selected organizations targeted for KernelCare partnerships
  • Navigate the organizations to present our value proposition to influencers, stakeholders, and decision makers
  • Gather data to build requirements for any product modifications needed in embedded distribution models and communicate with development team
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities in Hubspot and communicate regularly on progress and status
  • Identify opportunities for partners to act as public KernelCare advocates (e.g. testimonials, case studies)
  • Collaborate closely with company leadership to identify expansion opportunities
  • Marshall resources across the KernelCare org as needed to ensure rapid and successful partner adoption and onboarding
What we’re looking for:
  • 5+ years in a Business Development, Sales, or Partner Marketing role
  • Knowledge of Linux infrastructure and/or security software
  • Experience working with large enterprises on embedded OEM-type distribution models
  • Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately across multiple concurrent engagements
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships, while working to mitigate risk and drive successful deal closure
  • Experience working worth Hubspot is a plus
