Expertise:

Cloudcure is looking for a Talent Acquisition and Development Manager. This is a remote, contract role with full-time hours for a Canadian startup, and offers the opportunity for career progression and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and hire top-quality talent, including overseas hiring as well as hiring with the local markets.
  • Strong time-management skills and ownership; Manage own schedule but be flexible to meet overseas candidates within business hours in North America.
  • Manage the entire recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local universities and professional networks for talent pipeline.
  • Implement onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the company.
  • Develop and implement training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Collaborate with the management team to assess and address employee needs, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee performance evaluations and provide guidance on career development.
  • Handle employee relations and resolve conflicts or issues as they arise.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or talent development.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, local labor laws, and regulations in the Philippines, as well as familiarity with North American employment practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams in different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
  • Requires a fast internet connection and appropriate work-from-home space
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Bonus points for any prior experience in:

  • Fast-growth or early-stage startups
  • Experience implementing and configuring HR platforms such as BreezyHR, BambooHR, Workday, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of digital health industry trends and challenges.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams, particularly those based in North America.
