We offer onsite/hybrid/remote roles (within USA), with the option to work from any of Newfront's office locations.

This client facing position is responsible for providing claims consulting services to both internal and external clients and acting as an advocate in helping to resolve any coverage or claims handling issues.

Our Maritime team offers a flexible work environment, are respected within the Marine industry, and have a number of fun and exciting industry and Newfront events. We are experts in our industry, our work allows us to develop strong client relationships and support the marine industry causes. We are looking for someone who is a strong client advocate with advanced technical marine claim knowledge.

This is a salaried, exempt and full-time role and will be reporting to the Senior Account Executive. May require seasonal or intermittent traveling to visit clients, prospects and insurers. This is a hybrid role located at Newfront's office in Seattle, WA.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

    • Act as a liaison between Newfront’s clients and the insurance carriers to facilitate resolution of claims.
    • Review policies to evaluate coverage; advise client and account team to set appropriate expectations.
    • Monitor claims activity and results.
    • Communicate with clients, adjusters, carriers, attorneys, etc. to move claims towards resolution.
    • Respond to questions/inquiries from clients, account team, carriers, etc.
    • Participate in claim reviews with client and account team.
    • Support claims team in developing reports.
    • Participate in formal presentations to prospective and current clients, as well as claim reviews with clients and account teams.
    • Coordinate special claims handling protocols with clients and carriers for key accounts.
    • Review and comment on the policy wording and interpretation for account teams.
    • Act as team expert and point of contact in defined areas of expertise.
    • Provide mentoring and/or training to Claims Administrators.
    • Perform other special projects as assigned. 

Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience, with demonstrated knowledge of insurance coverage concepts. 
    • Ability to multi-task efficiently and to be flexible with ever-changing priorities and deadlines. 
    • Works well with others in a fast paced environment and be responsive to co-workers and colleagues. 
    • Persistence and creativity in resolving unique challenges; tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to resolve difficult situations with both internal and external clients.
    • Ability to think critically; anticipate, identify and develop solutions to problems.
    • Results oriented, with strong client service emphasis and focus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as the use of carrier claims portals. Ability to learn and implement other programs quickly and efficiently. 
    • Strong organizational skills, thoroughness and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Active participation as a Newfront team member, suggesting improvements in processes and procedures and ways to make the organization better.

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

    • Property and Casualty Insurance License.
