Why Weâre Hiring A Social Media Manager
Weâve shown an impressive ability to connect with everyday Americans on issues that can impact their lives and how their choices can result in getting more money in their pockets. Weâve done that mostly over SMS. And, we know that we have a big opportunity to more effectively connect with the public and our members. We are seeking a great communicator and content manager who cares about our audience and what makes them tick, and to take our social media program to a whole new level of performance and brand expression.
What Youâll Be Responsible For
As a Social Media Manager at WorkMoney, you'll have a fantastic chance to wear many hats and experiment with different approaches as you (and the rest of our staff and freelancers) create more original content (Videos! Stories! Memes! Infographics!) than ever before. This content will share our point of view on political policy along with ways to save money, and celebrate the value of hard work in America. You'll help us understand our audience better and create clear, relatable content for them. Youâll offer our members real solutions for problems theyâre facing, share genuinely useful financial info, demonstrate how hard work can lead to success, and inspire everyone with examples of the good life we can all achieve if we put in the effort and join forces as Americans. This means taking control of our social media calendar across all platforms and driving organic growth on each. Youâll also handle the reporting process so that you and the team have the necessary insights to run a great social media program. Youâll work closely with the Sr. Director of Digital Engagement in addition to coordinating with our policy & advocacy team, product team, and other stakeholders across the organization.

- Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices, and incorporate new strategies and techniques into our social media marketing efforts.
- Work closely with the design team to develop visually compelling graphics and other assets that enhance our social media content.
- Bring on new freelance capacity and increase the speed at which we can get new content out the door.
