What We Need



FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Sr. Full Stack Developer within our TA Connections division. This position falls under our airline

lodging line of business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting multiple web applications that source and provide lodging, meals, and transportation for airline crew and passengers. The candidate will contribute to all aspects of internet connected application development including performance, scalability, coding, caching, security, encryption, session state management, data management, error logging, and testing. The primary technology skills for this position are Ruby, Scala, Javascript, MongoDB, MySQL, and cloud technologies. You will report directly to the Development Manager and regularly collaborate with other teams.

As a Sr. Full Stack Developer, you will be expected to work in a virtual environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities



The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Taking a product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support
  • Implementing all aspects of a web-based application design – high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment configuration, unit testing, and manual testing
  • Triaging, organizing, breaking up, and assigning tasks to team members
  • Training and helping junior engineers
  • Building web applications that interact with internal and external APIs
  • Performing unit and system level testing on applications
  • Participating and collaborating with internal and external clients, technology partners, and IT team members on IT product development initiatives in support of the company’s mission and strategies
  • Other duties that pop up … we’re a small team after all
Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a role as a software developer
  • Development experience in two or more of these technologies: Python/Django, C#/.NET Core, Ruby/Rails, Node, Scala, and PHP Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience using Linux
  • Relational database design/query optimization experience
  • Experience creating and consuming web services (JSON / XML)
  • A “Doer” – willing to jump in and help
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
