Creative Programming and Operations Associate 🔥

We are seeking a

Creative Programming & Operations Associate

to help build the roster of VAWAA artist experiences, and drive its development and success. This is a digital role and does not involve traveling.

You will be part of the core team at VAWAA.com [1] (Vacation With An Artist). We are an online platform to book immersive, one-on-one, 4-7 day apprenticeships with master artists and craftspeople around the world - from calligraphy in Japan to bespoke shoemaking in Czech Republic to street art in Buenos Aires, and everything in between. Each VAWAA is a unique way to learn about a culture and allow travelers to become a part of the artist's daily creative process.

Travelers from around the world have gone on VAWAA experiences that have led to powerful stories of creativity, personal reinvention and collaborations. The international travel market is hungry for rich immersive experiences and we are expanding to become the best company for creative travel experiences globally. https://vawaa.com [2]

What you'll do

  • Work directly with the founder to manage all things related to artists and their experiences.
  • Identify sourcing of master artists, designers and craft makers in key target regions around the world.
  • Manage outreach – Find contact information (not always easy to find!) and initiate contact with artists (often unresponsive or run into language issues).
  • Lead artist communications through email, social, phone, whatsapp, zoom.
  • Track all artist outreach, referrals and applications through different stages from lead to launch via CRM tools and internal database.
  • Organize and maintain the artist database with smart info and tags.
  • Actively support in screening, curation and vetting of artists to create the best collection of global craft makers.
  • Actively support in designing and programming each artist experience, the VAWAA way.
  • Identify and create new approach to craft experiences, learning vacations, global arts and crafts culture, personal growth, and more.
  • Manage artist onboarding and timely submission of their materials for launch. Review their text and photography materials to check if they meet editorial criteria. Provide them feedback and guidance to support a successful launch of their VAWAA.
  • Champion each artist's ongoing success on VAWAA through feedback loops, growth initiatives and developing trust and rapport.
  • Collaborate with team and help grow company wide initiatives that support artists, guests, content, marketing, operations etc.
