Role: Community Philanthropy Associate Reports to: Senior Community Philanthropy Manager Location: Remote Hours: Full-time Salary Range: $31/hour

Overview of the role The Community Philanthropy Associate will play a key role in supporting the continued growth, optimization and expansion of The Trevor Project’s robust, hybrid mid-level fundraising program. You will be responsible for supporting the Mid-Level team in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of our Mid-Level Donors, thus contributing to their meaningful and delightful philanthropic experience with The Trevor Project.



Who You Are

  • Experienced: You have demonstrated attention to detail, especially related to data entry and database management. Experience working with Salesforce is a plus, but not required.
  • Collaborator. You have proven successful performance working as part of a team.
  • Communicator. Demonstrated ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral forms to audiences inside and outside of the organization
  • Focused on service delivery and adaptability You have proven success navigating ambiguity and working through competing priorities, taking initiative on various tasks, and asking questions to clarify direction and needs.
  • Community-Centered Fundraiser. You have an established track record of employing fundraising strategies that are grounded in equity and center community.
  • Organized and Efficient. You follow and establish clear, consistent processes to stay organized and ensure all projects remain on-pace, especially through the use of Google Suite applications.
  • Action-oriented. You are a proven problem-solver, operating with efficiency. You have a track record of identifying problems and plans informed by data to solve them.
  • Mission Alignment: You demonstrate awareness and support for The Trevor Project’s mission and vision: to end suicide and address mental health crises in the LGBTQ youth community, and create a world where all LGBTQ young people see a bright future for themselves.



What You'll Do

  • Assist in the preparation of a high-quality donor experience through developing correspondence, proposals, impact reports, mailings, acknowledgements, and other meaningful opportunities to engage with the organization
  • Support Mid-level events planning program in collaboration with Stewardship and Donor Events Manager and beacon portfolio managers
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of Mid-level fundraising activity, and run queries to pull lists in the Salesforce Database
  • Perform administrative and other responsibilities as needed, including assigning and organizing Mid-level prospect and donor files, scheduling, reminders, note-taking, agenda building, and follow-ups
  • To assign accounts and opportunities to managers based on parameters and create stewardship tasks in Salesforce
  • To conduct research for donors using platforms such as Wealthengine and other investigative tools in conjunction with Sr Manager, Prospect Management & Research
  • To collaborate with the Development Operations team in order to automate stewardship processes including tracking and mass uploads of donor information
  • To provide support for all Beacon processes and the creation/improvement of processes as needed
