Summary:

Leads, manages and executes marketing projects and integrated campaigns from conception through completion: leads the strategy, development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional efforts to drive membership engagement and growth to meet established marketing objectives for the Credit Union. Oversees and handles projects independently, working with various vendors, agencies and internal teams within budget.



Location: This role is eligible for remote work in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain full project ownership while managing the successful execution of marketing projects as assigned, including but not limited to, involving senior staff and engaging appropriate areas/individuals, addressing the impact on all areas throughout the process, ensuring the final outcome(s) meet the needs of the organization/department and the objectives of the project, while keeping Management well informed and knowledgeable throughout the process.
  • Leads and creates effective marketing plans and project briefs to outline the objective goals, specifications, timeline and budget for each project.
  • Uses internal and external resources to gather information before executing projects. Drives projects engaging appropriate stakeholders while considering operational processes and risk management.
  • Communicates project details, through written and oral communication, to all stakeholders and to the organization, in order to ensure that the various areas are prepared, and that there is the opportunity to provide input.
  • Guides in-house creative team and manages outside vendors closely to ensure that the work and distribution of promotional materials are on schedule, compliant with the Credit Union standards, and within budget. Collaborates with Team members to find new streamlined solutions for greater efficiency.
  • Utilizes measurement systems for marketing programs to monitor and evaluate the programs’ effectiveness toward reaching the goals of the promotions, as well as, the Credit Union goals and objectives. If goals are not being met, provides additional recommendations to increase success.
  • Ensures that all work meets established Brand Style Guide standards for appearance, quality and content, with 100% accuracy.
  • Ensures that appropriate and accurate corporate disclosures and standards are included in every promotional piece, in keeping with compliance requirements.
  • Ensure delegation that all advertising and promotional pieces are sent to the in-house “Proofing Team” and other appropriate managers or departments, for approval prior to sign-off.
  • Maintains full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union policies, procedures, and service standards; and with the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Advertising.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • 2-3 years' experience marketing for financial institution strongly preferred, with priority given to candidates with credit union marketing experience.
  • A solid understanding of project management, marketing principles and activities, strategic positioning, and product development.
  • Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a team player and willing to foster collaboration within the Marketing department and across the organization.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written communications and verbal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of team members across the organization.
  • Demonstrated copy writing and editing skills - writing samples required as part of qualification process.
  • Must be very detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle the varied details of multiple projects, on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
