About the Position

We are searching for an experienced Vice President (VP) of Marketing to direct and oversee our Marketing department. You will plan, implement, and monitor effective, integrated marketing strategies and programs that align with our business goals.

Our ideal candidate has 10+ years’ experience as a marketing department leader managing all key marketing functions, including product marketing, digital, demand generation, communications, channel marketing, industry verticals, customer advocacy, marketing services, BDRs and the Web. Our VP of Marketing will oversee the Marketing team’s strategy and implementation of successful marketing campaigns, programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the value proposition of our offerings across key verticals and drive strategy and execution to increase market share, retain and grow a customer base of more than 13,000.
  • Create an effective brand architecture to unify our broad portfolio and ensure optimum customer, partner and market understanding.
  • Build on your familiarity with the legal, accounting, finance, document management and cloud technologies and markets to engage with customers, partners and prospects.
  • Manage a multi-million-dollar budget to drive customer acquisition and growth, with a strong focus on digital and ROI-based, measurable programs and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage, lead, and mentor the team responsible for marketing, branding, positioning and communicating the value of our products and services portfolio—including software, private cloud, and hosted solutions—to the verticals we currently serve, while creating thoughtful business plans and cost-effective strategies to break into new ones.
  • Oversee messaging to our target audiences. Responsible for strategic positioning and working with outside PR agencies to nurture our relationships with media outlets, journalists, key influencers, and thought leaders.
  • Be entrepreneurial, hands-on, flexible, collegial and able to adapt to dynamic markets in a fun, fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize marketing and sales metrics and KPIs to optimize current initiatives, report on and adjust outcomes and identify new opportunities and attractive markets.
  • Lead strategic development and management of initiatives to drive prospect engagement, Web traffic, client acquisition, product awareness and conversion from contacts to leads to opportunities.
  • Identify customer insights, conduct research, analyze and define their needs to support more effective marketing and communications.

Job Requirements
  • 10+ years of Software marketing experience (preferably within a SaaS environment) marketing experience
    • 7+ years’ experience at VP level managing a staff of 10+ and seven figure budgets
  • BA or BS degree required; MBA preferred
  • Deep experience in high velocity, transactional SMB market segments in a B2B environment
  • Experience in developing ROI-based demand generation campaigns
  • In-depth experience in e-commerce and Web site deployments that optimize customer acquisition including Click-to-buy
  • An overachiever, strong communicator and collaborative worker
  • Proven record of developing and implementing creative, results-oriented programs to improve leadership positioning, build pipeline and expand customer penetration into vertical segments
  • Proven track record of creating, driving and executing an online marketing and customer acquisition strategy that resulted in substantial growth
  • Proven ability to use data to drive decisions and gain company leaders’ support for marketing initiatives and investments
  • In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of modern digital and marketing automation platforms, including but not limited to Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics, WordPress, SEO, SEM, Social Media, etc.
  • Demonstrated success using segmentation of customers and databases, and a variety of list and lead acquisition techniques to create leads and optimize results
  • Excellent analytical, business writing, budget management and project management skills
  • High energy and superior work ethic
  • Can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and priorities

DATA SECURITY

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need-to-know. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected data security breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.

DATA RETENTION

We will retain your personal data for a period of 3 years after your last application date [ if you are unsuccessful we shall retain your personal data for 6 months or for a period of 3 years upon your explicit consent]. We retain your personal data for that period so that we can show, in the event of a legal claim, that we have not discriminated against candidates on prohibited grounds and that we have conducted the recruitment exercise in a fair and transparent way. We further retain such personal data in case a similar role becomes vacant for which you will be a fitting candidate. After this period, we will securely destroy your personal data in accordance with our data retention policy.
