This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Sr. Organizational Learning & Development Manager.



The Instructional Designer will develop and manage training initiatives and project plans from inception to results. This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter, who works well under pressure and is flexible to changing priorities.



Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and develop highly effective training programs.
  • Create technical and procedural eLearning for Customer Experience, Inside Sales, Direct Sales, Human Resources, Salesforce, etc.
  • Create corporate eLearning and training products for required training, soft skills, employee development, manager development, etc.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop instructor-led training, eLearning or experiential learning.
  • Develop training content using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, scenarios, games, team exercises, group discussions, videos, etc.
  • Create training products such as user guides, participant/trainer guides, job aids, handouts, etc.
  • Research, organize and create content in logical eLearning sequences for maximum learner retention.
  • Regularly maintain and update course content based on quality reviews and feedback from trainers, learners, forms, surveys, and ClearCaptions management.
  • Proofread and edit own work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, formatting, and effectiveness of training products.
  • Create custom graphics and animations as needed to elevate the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Test, debug and troubleshoot training products and courses.
  • Assist in managing the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist with various training related tasks such as training coordination, research, reporting, admin tasks, team inbox, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer and/or eLearning Developer.
  • Must have proved experience with Articulate.
  • Must have proven experience creating technical and procedural training programs.
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory, adult learning theory, and design thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to focus on details, adhere to quality standards and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours within all US time zones.
  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams).
  • Experience managing a Learning Management Systems is a plus.
  • Experience working with iSpring, Camtasia, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

100% Remote: Work environment is at home.

Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
  • Keyboarding (70-90%)
  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-100%)
