The Technology team has significant impact on this evolution and is building its capabilities to support the organization.

The role

In concert with the President of Arcadia, the marketing team, and various operating company stakeholders, the Corporate/Remote Designer will assist with all manner of activities to optimize the presentation of marketing materials (Graphic Design), and build/maintain front-end web components from our content management system (Web Design).

Key responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Work with other members of the creative team to establish a comprehensive set of brand guidelines (and style book) to guide future materials for each operating company (brand) and the IFS parent company.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other marketing/creative team resources to create innovative marketing materials and enhance pre-existing marketing materials, according to brand guidelines and modern design principles.
  • Participate in kickoff meetings and follow up meetings with stakeholders to gather and incorporate feedback for design iteration.
  • Assist with preparing presentation materials for meetings.
  • Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve communication and process workflows among the creative team and with project stakeholders.

Web Design and (lightweight) Development (20% allocation)

  • Become proficient in modifying and configuring the content management systems used by IFS and its operating companies to support our websites.
  • Design and implement website navigation components, and to a limited extent, develop front-end application components to support design modifications.
  • Serve as a liaison with developers and development teams (internal and external) for advanced development work that needs to be completed for website creation and maintenance.
  • Continue to advance front-end development (HTML, CSS, and related) skills to the extent that these skills provide for more self-proficiency and reduce development resource dependency to complete various initiatives related to website development.

Key skills/experience required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Familiarity, education, and exposure to user experience (UX) fundamentals and principles, with continued education and knowledge advancement expected throughout employment.
  • Familiarity, education, and exposure to web and digital marketing fundamentals and principles, with continued education and knowledge advancement expected throughout employment.
  • Mastery in using Adobe suite of software and other tools needed to support graphic design responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required for team collaboration.
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple job responsibilities with a high degree of communication with collaborating team members and management.
  • Highly adaptable to change, thriving in a fast-paced environment where new information and priorities need to be processed on a regular basis.
  • The desire and ability to master new subject matter quickly.
  • Positive mindset, with the ability to inspire and motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • A strong desire to achieve personal and professional growth.

Work environment

  • 40-hour work week.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours as needed based on business needs.
  • Regularly communicates both verbally and in writing.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
  • Physical effort and activities include Light physical effort is required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
