Claims Forensic Accountant 🔥
- Evaluates and, as necessary, reconstructs accounting data to prepare comprehensive financial damage analyses. Audit activities include multifaceted records reviews, forensic reviews, and data analyses, researching alternative information sources, and conducting in-depth interviews.
- Acts as a technical expert providing financial, accounting, economic, and auditing consultation for adjusters and attorneys.
- Testifies as an expert financial/economic witness at trial or deposition. Provides support in mediation and arbitration activities.
- Provides pre-trial assistance to attorneys, helping in the development of accounting, economic, and financially related discovery requests. Evaluates and responds to reports and conclusions of opposing economic and financial experts.
- Presents findings and recommendations in a cohesive, articulate, and actionable manner to Regional Leaders and Vice President.
- Conducts periodic competitor analysis on focus areas to support improvements in targeted areas.
Qualifications
Qualifications:- Advanced knowledge of auditing, finance, and accounting theory and procedures.
- Strong foundation in economic and data analysis concepts and techniques.
- Understanding of the legal process, including discovery, ADR, and testimonial procedures.
- Ability to plan/organize/delegate work, communicate effectively, analyze, and solve problems, give constructive feedback and praise, create alignment, and adapt.
- Highly proficient with spreadsheet and database software, practical application of accounting methods and processes, and familiar with standard accounting software.
- Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor`s degree in accounting or related field along with 8-10 years of relevant auditing, accounting, financial analysis, and litigation experience.
- CPA required; CFE highly preferred. CPCU or MBA credentials are highly preferred.
