The Opportunity:

POSITION SUMMARY

Sephora is looking for a Senior Product Manager – Marketing Operations & Content Management to deliver the most innovative digital experience in the Beauty industry. In this role, you will partner with business, UX, and development teams to define and execute our Marketing Ops Workflow with a Headless CMS Product strategy roadmap. You will be a critical part in selecting and implementing the backend end platforms that power content on the Sephora website, mobile apps, email, social, and other Digital channels. Integration of these tools is vital to building a seamless experience for Sephora Producers, Digital Marketers, and Creatives, who launch personalized, omnichannel campaigns through our Marketing Ops tools, headless CMS, Digital Asset Management (DAM), product experience management (PMX), and other integrations. You will collaborate closely with Personalization, Site Experience, and Marketing Product Managers to create a unified eCommerce back-office.

  • Define and execute the Marketing Operations & Content Management Product strategy roadmap, as Sephora continues to integrate and optimize the platforms that power the digital experience.
  • Collaborate with key executive stakeholders, balancing competing interests and needs across the organization to arrive at a clear vision, communicating effectively, and aligning various partners along the way.


As a member of the Product Management organization, you will work closely with other Product Managers to leverage best practices across digital channels, work on projects that impact multiple channels as well as assess cross-channel impacts. This position has a high level of exposure throughout the digital organization and the candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and influence with the ability to communicate a clear product vision to the business and technical partners.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and execute the Marketing Operations & Content Management Product strategy roadmap, as Sephora continues to integrate and optimize the platforms that power the digital experience.
  • Collaborate with key executive stakeholders, balancing competing interests and needs across the organization to arrive at a clear vision, communicating effectively, and aligning various partners along the way.
  • Develop processes, templates, and tools to deliver effectively and consistently across projects. Define metrics for success and measure progress.
  • Partner with the business teams to drive the Content Management System and Marketing Operations roadmap.
  • Identify implementation options and guide business partners on recommendations and prioritization of desired features.
  • Drive requirements from concept through launch while partnering with both internal Sephora Engineering resources and external party development partners and vendors.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of defining and prioritizing requirements and incident tracking.
  • Assess technical questions and partner with Engineering where needed to resolve them.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends in digital experiences – specifically related to Marketing Operations and Content Management Systems - including new capabilities, technology, vendors, and tools.
  • Develop success metrics and ensure the ability for ongoing monitoring of post-launch results through analysis and reporting.
  • Create, document, and implement processes that were needed to achieve desired strategies.
  • Drive continual product improvements and inform the product roadmap with new ideas based on ongoing user research (qualitative & quantitative), market/competitive analysis, and product performance.
  • Develop processes, templates, and tools to delivery effectively and consistently across projects.
  • Work closely with our partners whose technology powers Marketing Operations workflow and Content Management, such as Contentful CMS, Adobe AEM/DAM, Riversand PMX, Asana, Monday.com, and others.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Deep experience in navigating workflow tools for Marketing Operations; specific knowledge of working with and implementing tools such as Asana, Adobe Workfront, and Monday.com a plus.
  • Highly proficient in navigating eCommerce backend tools and Headless Content Management Systems (CMS); specific experience with implementing Contentful is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and practical organizational planning skills.
  • Demonstrates experience with agile sprint development cycle and release process.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and ability to partner both with business and technical teams.
  • Innate, gut understanding of the Sephora client, and an ability to identify and articulate opportunities.
  • Nimble and flexible about changing priorities & business needs, and managing diverse teams & people.
  • Proven ability to meet critical deadlines while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and vendor partners.
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to operate effectively without close supervision.
  • Experience using JIRA and agile methodologies, with the ability to maintain flexibility about changing priorities and needs.
  • Experience with roadmap tools, such as Aha!, to effectively define and communicate the Product roadmap for this domain.
  • Data-driven ddecision-makingand experience conducting and interpreting qualitative and quantitative user research.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 8-10 years experience in product management with a successful history of launching highly effective products for large transactional websites and complex omnichannel (site, apps, email, social media) marketing campaigns.
  • 5-7 years of consumer-based online experience
  • Experience integrating creative asset management, workflow, and headless eCommerce Content Management platforms.

The target annual base salary range for this position is $166,500.00 - $185,500.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
