Role Description

We are looking for a Front End Engineer with experience working on portal and other marketing technology implementations, with both functional and technical expertise. Functional end will include working with the stakeholders, gathering requirements and understanding the requirements from a functional perspective. Technical end will include understanding configurations, working on project delivery, developing enhancements and supporting the system from a technical perspective.

Responsibilities

The Front End Engineer will be responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from both design and functional standpoints according to a stakeholders’ specifications. The right candidate will strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. The role will also be responsible for learning new technology as we acquire/build new applications in marketing landscape related to campaign, analytics, SEO and integrations.



Build easy-to-use, high-performance websites working with designers, website marketers and other groups

Participate in the full development lifecycle, including estimation, design, development, testing, and deployment

Review and respond to operational issues, escalating as necessary

Support the development of other engineers through mentoring, code review, and knowledge sharing

Participate in the design and creation of scalable software solutions for marketing projects

Collaborate with other cross functional teams to drive long term strategic projects and OKRs

Be comfortable leading small to medium sized projects from inception to delivery

Goes the extra mile - Candidate should always be looking to not only check the box but making sure the problems are solved by the root

Self Driven - This doesn’t mean working alone but rather keep yourself unblocked. This can mean talking to more senior engineers when necessary or asking for more definition for product

Customer Focused - Be an advocate for listening to and learning from customers (both internal and external) in order to better solve their problems.

Requirements

In order for a candidate to be extended an offer, they must have all of the following . These will be strictly enforced by the Moderator during the debrief. Please rank in order of importance and write in a verifiable manner.



In depth knowledge of design principals and best practices

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to express ideas to both technical and non-technical individuals

Demonstrated critical thinking skills, decision-making, and problem solving skills

Proven experience in portal technologies like AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), DAM (Digital Asset Management) and CMS (Content Management System) is a must

Hands on experience in web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, Vanilla Javascript, SQL, React/Angular

Working experience with Python would be a plus

Development experience in digital marketing areas like Campaign, Email Marketing, Analytics and Data and Personalization would be a plus

BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience

For candidates hired in San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $138,600 - $163,000 - $187,500 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $164,600 - $193,600 - $222,600.



For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $124,700 - $146,700 - $168,700 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $148,100 - $174,200 - $200,300.



For candidates hired in all other US locations, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $110,800 - $130,400 - $150,000 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $131,700 - $154,900 - $178,100.



Range(s) is subject to change. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.



Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
